Over the last few years The Margate Jazz Festival has collaborated with Olby's Soul Cafe for Margate Jazz Weekend which was later renamed Margate Jazz Festival. That collaboration will not be renewed for 2020, meaning that The Margate Jazz Festival won't be involved in any weekend event that may take place this year.

A big thank you to EVERYONE who made Margate Jazz Festival 2019 such a tremendous success.

First of all, to the wonderful artists: Pee Wee Ellis, Liane Carroll, Theon Cross, Daniel Casimir & Tess Hirst, Nigel Thomas, Paul Booth, Maiuko Quintet, Annie Whitehead, Work8hop and all the singers and musicians who took part in the jam sessions at the Lifeboat including Daisy Beau, Lizzie Bell, Matt Goodsmith, Daniel Cano and Maurizio Borgna.

Next, the venues: Olby's Soul Café and Music Rooms, Cinque Ports, Sands Hotel, The Lifeboat Ale & Cider House and The Margate School in the old Woolworth store.

And finally......YOU! We loved your enthusiasm and camaraderie and were privileged to share some wonderful moments with you. We'll never forget everyone joining in 'I Love You' when Pee Wee Ellis sang 'What a Wonderful World' or singing 'You've Got A Friend' with Liane Carroll.

All the best from Martin, Eli, Adam and all the Margate Jazz Festival team.
